Revolutionizing skin care
Clean beauty expert Dara Kennedy asked Office to develop the identity and packaging for her eponymous skin care collection. Called the “Alice Waters of skin care,” Dara's philosophy is to create gentle and healing products that work — with carefully-sourced ingredients, and a commitment to restoring the health of the planet.
A star ingredient in the Dara Kennedy line is wild giant kelp, which is sustainably hand-harvested off the central California coast and known for its antioxidant and hydrating properties. Office designed a refined packaging system featuring an artful, abstract interpretation of the kelp and a color palette drawn from nature. The mustard yellow and slate blue are also used to reinforce the day and night ritual of applying the serum and retinal.
Reflecting Dara Kennedy's commitment to sustainability, every element of the plastic-free packaging is recyclable or compostable, and 5% of sales go to nonprofits dedicated to ocean and climate health.

Ayla: Redefining Brighter Beauty
Office also created the branding for Ayla, the leading online clean beauty shop with a studio outpost in San Francisco, that Dara founded. Dara and her team of guides scour the planet to curate a collection of healthy products that work, develop their own products where they identify specific needs, and provide unparalleled personal advice to clients.
The visual system expresses the thoughtfulness that’s part of curating Ayla’s collection of clean products, as well as the uniquely personalized, caring support that customers experience.
