What We Do
We work with leading brands and emerging businesses to clarify their stories and create meaningful experiences that matter to people. This includes brand strategy, visual identities, packaging, advertising, digital experiences, communications and environments. We don’t have a singular, proprietary process; we adapt to the unique needs, work processes and internal cultures of each client. But we find the most successful (and fun) relationships are truly collaborative. And the very best work is created together. In 2014, Office was awarded the Smithsonian's Cooper Hewitt National Design Award to honor lasting achievement in American design and recognize excellence, innovation and enhancement of the quality of life. The Office team was honored by First Lady Michelle Obama at the White House.

Office is located in the vibrant and almost always sunny Mission District of San Francisco, in what used to be a window factory. Our team of experienced strategists, designers, writers and account directors are intensely curious and passionate about designing better experiences. Being a small studio keeps us collaborative, fast, flexible and creative. It helps us build close, long-term partnerships with our clients. And it allows our core leadership team to be involved in every project we take on.
Jill Robertson / President
Jill leads our strategy engagements and helps our clients make a positive impact. She gets excited about imaginative ideas, clarity and iced chai.
- Used to be a speechwriter. Today she writes brand stories for her clients, and bedtime stories for her twin boys.
- Co-founded Wee Society, a kids’ brand that aims to spark creativity and encourage kindness.
- Was raised in rural Iowa (home to Albert, the world’s largest bull).
Jason Schulte / Founder & Creative Director
Jason helps our team create differentiated work that emotionally resonates with people.

Rob Alexander / Creative Director
Rob subscribes to Dieter Rams’ mantra, “less, but better.” He starts with a million ideas, then relentlessly edits to find the simplest way to tell the client’s story.

Emily Bolls / Strategist
Emily has 15+ years experience developing consumer-inspired marketing and communications strategies. Clients appreciate her clarity, candor and ability to lead productive discussions in record time.
- Started her career as a writer and editor for business and tech magazines.
- As stroke seat on her crew team, she set the pace and rhythm for the boat. Same goes for her projects.

Inspiring bright little minds
Wee Society is about raising good little people through happy design. The brand aims to create learning experiences for preschoolers that encourage kindness, spark imaginations and induce giggles. We developed Wee Society’s brand strategy and all aspects of the brand experience: naming, brand story, visual identity system, website, marketing communications, social media strategies, content development and products, including apps, art prints and toys.
The building blocks of a kid brand
The identity system was designed to reflect the brand’s playful, colorful spirit. The logo is a kid-friendly society crest with icons that represent the brand’s five core values. We built a comprehensive visual system and brand guidelines that are now used across all communications and product design.
Wee Society’s first family of characters, the Wee Alphas, is a crew of 26 illustrated animals with a letter of the alphabet hidden in each one. In the Wee Alphas learning app, funny rhymes and surprising animations entertain preschoolers as they find the hidden ABCs and practice drawing their own “special letter” on a sketchpad.
With Wee You-Things, an interactive iOS app, we wanted to send the message that what makes you different is also what makes you awesome. Kids are encouraged to appreciate differences as they meet characters with special “you-things” — those things big and small that make you like no one else in the world. The app includes tips for parents on introducing teaching moments when using the app with their kids.
A playful twist on a classic
Wee You-Things Blocks are our take on the classic wooden toy. Featuring mix-and-match quirky characters and three different puzzles, they’re designed to promote problem-solving and encourage creativity. The eco-friendly blocks, made in the USA with replenishable basswood and nontoxic inks, are built to last for generations.
For Wee Society’s partnership with art.com, the world’s largest online art retailer, we created a collection of over 150 art prints and wall decals. Additional art — including an award-winning, limited-edition 13-color screen print and personalized prints — is available exclusively on weesociety.com.
In partnership with Tattly, we created temporary tattoos, including a Science Set and Boo Crew, available exclusively at tattly.com. Special Wee You-Things Tattlys were created for a pop-up shop event at the innovative New York retail concept, STORY.
From the Wee Workshop
To spark creativity while extending Wee Society’s reach, we create free, fun DIY projects “from the Wee Workshop.” We also develop custom content for the Wee Society community, such as a What Wee Read series of kids’ book recommendations.
Wee on the web
We developed Wee Society’s website, including the architecture, user experience and content for e-commerce sales and for connecting with fans of the brand. The site features the characters and products, including a personalized-art print-creator and parallax-scrolling animation to tell the Wee Society story. Combined, they reflect the brand’s playful, happy and surprising spirit.
