Wee Society Hearts Happy Design

Today Wee Society, a new brand of kids products created by the folks behind Office, launched its website and series of art prints.

“We’re moms, dads, designers and writers. And we wanted to create stories and characters for our kids,” says Jill Robertson, Wee Society co-founder and mom of twin toddlers. “Wee Society products are about happy design that grown-ups appreciate, but they’re unquestionably for kids.”

Wee Society’s first line of products introduce the Wee Alphas — a quirky crew of 26 illustrated animals with a letter of the alphabet hidden in each one. Alexander the Angelfish, Biki the Buffalo, and their furry, feathered or finned friends, appear in a series of art prints — including a limited edition 13-color screen print, a smaller offset print and a personalized custom print that includes your child's name along with a silly (or somewhat more serious) statement. All prints are available now in the shop at weesociety.com.

The Wee Alphas are also featured in an iPad learning app for preschoolers, which was selected and featured by Apple as “New and Noteworthy” in the education category. Funny rhymes and surprising animations entertain preschoolers as they find the hidden ABCs and practice drawing their own “special letter” on a sketch pad. Wee Society collaborated with indie rock band Rabbit! on sound effects and music that kids love, and parents won't mind listening to again and again. Wee Alphas is now available in the Apple App Store.

Office designed Wee Society’s brand identity, website and products. “The brand is about playful, colorful experiences that bring kids and their parents closer together,” says Rob Alexander, creative director, Office. “And we’re hoping for a few giggles.”
