Office Recognized for Best Book Design

This summer, AIGA, the professional association for design, recognized Office in its 50 Books/50 Covers competition.
Us: A Compendium, created by Office for our sister company Wee Society, won in both the cover design and book design categories. At a time when connection feels more important than ever, the journal was designed to help kids and their grown-ups connect with each other, and capture what’s interesting, weird and wonderful about their family.

“[B]ooks hold a kind of value, relevance, and grounding that we need in our current messy moment,” said Silas Munro, AIGA 50 Books/50 Covers Jury Chair. “In this year’s competition … the thoughtful consideration of material, typography, and image across themes of inspiring culture and social transformations through books and their design brought light into the dark of 2022.”

Us is part of the AIGA collection at the Rare Book and Manuscript Library at Columbia University’s Butler Library in New York. It’s the sixth kids’ journal that Office has developed in partnership with Wee Society and published by Clarkson Potter, an imprint of Penguin Random House.
