Coca-Cola Creates Quality Quick-Service Coffee
The Coca-Cola Company created CHAQWA to provide quality coffee, tea and cocoa for people on-the-go. The products are sold in vending machines, convenience stores and quick-service restaurants throughout Canada, South Africa, Singapore, Norway and Germany. Office developed the brand identity, visual vocabulary, packaging, vending machine visual design, brand guidelines and a concept for a college campus CHAQWA store.
In the highly competitive coffee and tea category, we wanted to stand out by avoiding visual clichés that you see in most coffee brands around the world. The identity was designed to feel modern, approachable and premium. Knowing that consumers don’t typically expect to get a really good hot beverage from a convenience store, the identity and photography had to communicate quality. They needed to say that you can grab a great cup of coffee even when you don’t have time to stand in line at your favorite café.
