Celebrating The People’s Market
During National Farmers Market Week on August 8, San Francisco nonprofit Foodwise will celebrate Alemany Farmers Market, the oldest continuously operated farmers market in California. Known as “The People’s Market,” it played a key role in starting the farmers market movement in the state.
With a focus on local food, affordability, and accessibility, the market is managed by Foodwise in partnership with the City and County of San Francisco and hosts a diverse community of more than 80 small family farms and food businesses.
Foodwise operates world-class farmers markets and education programs that connect Bay Area communities with fresh, locally grown food. Office previously partnered with Foodwise to develop its brand identity system, and recently extended that work to Alemany Farmers Market. Alongside a new badge celebrating the market's unique identity, we created an expanded library of produce illustrations inspired by the vibrancy and joy of fresh, seasonal food.
